In order to assist landlord and tenants with the forthcoming legislation regarding Awaab’s Law we are hosted an event with Under One Roof on the 27^th of January 2026 at 12.30.  As part of the Housing (Scotland) Act 2025, this important legislation will change the way that social and private landlords deal with damp and mould in their flats.  Damp and mould are serious problems affecting Scotland’s tenements, damaging buildings and harming human health.

The law will:

•          Require landlords to promptly investigate and fix health hazards, starting with damp and mould.

•          Set legal timeframes for repairs, to be defined in secondary legislation.

•          Empower tenants to hold landlords accountable through clearer rights and enforcement mechanisms.
